Account and Data Deletion

This page describes how to delete your HatchBase account and associated data. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Option 1: Delete via the App

This is the primary method for deleting your account securely and immediately.

1. Open the HatchBase app on your Android device.
2. Navigate to your User Profile from the main menu or settings.
3. Scroll to the section labeled Danger Zone.
4. Tap Delete Account Permanently.
5. When prompted, type DELETE in uppercase to confirm.
6. Tap DELETE FOREVER to complete the request.

Option 2: Request via Email

If you cannot access the app, you may request deletion by contacting our support team.

• Email: support@hatchbase.io
• Subject: Account Deletion Request
• Required Information: Include the email address associated with your account. A display name can help us verify the request faster.
• Timeline: Processing may take up to 30 days. We will confirm deletion by email once complete.

Data That Is Deleted

When your account is deleted, the following data is permanently removed across our systems:

• Identity: Your Firebase Authentication credentials and login methods.
• Profile Data: Your display name, profile picture URL, and preferences.
• Flock Data: All flocks, birds, and breeding scenarios created by you.
• Incubation Data: All active and historical incubation sessions, including hatch results.
• User Content: Support tickets, observations, or notes associated with your user ID.

Data Retention Information

• Google Play Billing: Subscription status and purchase history are managed by Google Play. Deleting your HatchBase account does not automatically cancel active subscriptions. You must cancel subscriptions through Google Play to stop future billing.
• Audit Logs: Anonymized or administrative logs recording the deletion event itself may be retained for security and compliance purposes.
