Terms of Service

By accessing or using HatchBase, you agree to these Terms of Service.

1. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable license to use HatchBase for managing poultry, incubation, nursery, finance, breeding, homesteading, and related farm records, subject to these Terms.

2. Subscriptions And Access

HatchBase may offer multiple product tiers and feature sets. At the time of writing, these include:

• FREE: flock, incubation, nursery, and Community access when that feature is launched, subject to feature-specific limits.
• EXPERT: everything in FREE plus Finance and OCR scanning.
• PRO: everything in EXPERT plus Breeding and Homesteader's Log.

Some users may also have elevated operational roles:

• CommunityAdmin: community moderation capabilities only.
• systemAdmin: PRO product access plus administrative tools.
• developer: internal testing and debugging access, including broader feature visibility.

Billing is handled through the applicable billing provider. If a plan is sold as auto-renewing, renewal, cancellation, refund, billing, and trial handling are governed by the rules and interfaces of the relevant billing platform, such as Google Play. You are responsible for managing your subscriptions and understanding that access may change if your subscription expires, is cancelled, is refunded, or is modified.

3. User Content And Community

You retain ownership of the data and content you submit to HatchBase. You grant us the limited rights needed to host, store, display, back up, moderate, and process that content for the purpose of operating and improving the service for you.

If Community features are enabled for your account or region, you are responsible for the content you post and for complying with applicable laws and platform rules. We may remove content, restrict access, or take moderation action to protect users, the service, and the community.

4. OCR, Insights, Predictions, And Operational Tools

OCR, AI-assisted, forecasting, insight, breeding, finance, moderation, and operational support features are assistive tools only. Outputs may be probabilistic, predictive, incomplete, or imperfect, and may not reflect every biological, genetic, husbandry, environmental, or market variable. You remain responsible for verifying scanned values, financial records, breeding decisions, moderation decisions, health-related actions, and any other material decisions made using the app.

5. Disclaimers

HatchBase is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, and error-free operation.

We are not responsible for loss of data, bird health issues, breeding outcomes, moderation outcomes, subscription-provider issues, OCR errors, prediction errors, or financial inaccuracies resulting from use of the app. Maintain independent backups of critical data where appropriate.

6. Prohibited Use

You may not reverse engineer the app, evade subscription or entitlement checks, abuse cloud sync or moderation systems, scrape protected data, interfere with the service, attempt unauthorized access, or use HatchBase in a way that violates applicable law or the rights of others.

7. Suspension And Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to HatchBase, with or without notice where appropriate, if you materially breach these Terms, abuse the service, create security or legal risk, or where we need to protect users, our systems, or our legal rights.

8. Changes To The Service And Terms

We may update HatchBase, its feature set, and these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after an update becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms where permitted by law.
